Celles d’en haut (Women on Top)
Join the Inner Circle
Théâtre du Rêve (Theater of the Dream), 7 Stages Theatre Artists, and YOU!
Join us for an intimate series of salon conversations inspired by our upcoming production: Celles d’en haut (Women on Top). We are bringing women and cool dudes of various professions, backgrounds and generations together in a salon setting, over a glass of wine and some nibbles (think Algonquin Round Table and Dada Salons). Each hostess – be she a writer, photographer, gallery owner, former/current business owner, Jungian psychologist, or mother among other hats – will tease out a theme from the play to inspire informal, generous conversation. In Salons, we dig deeper and connect to the play so that the experience begins and continues outside of the theater, fostering an engaged, invested community.
We invite you to be a part of this inner circle.
Celles d’en haut opens with Violet, a woman “at the half time of her life” lost in a forest. We discover that she has been in a car accident and needs help. Three wild people cross her path – ignoring her questions and pleas for help – she says, “… it’s like the movie Deliverance, but without all the good lines.” She happens upon an establishment where she has the following exchange with a “normal” looking man in a white lab coat…
Wait your turn the doctor has many patients
