Exercices de style par Raymond Queneau | COMING TO 7 STAGES MARCH 2027

COMING THIS MARCH! – On est ravie de vous présenter Exercices de style par Raymond Queneau, directed by Carolyn Cook!

March 12-28, 2027 at 7 Stages in Little Five Points.

It’s a simple story: a guy on a bus picks a fight with a fellow passenger, then grabs an empty seat before anyone else can take it. Two hours later, the same guy turns up in front of a train station, talking with a friend about the buttons on his coat. Raymond Queneau tells that story 99 different ways—as a sonnet, a telegram, a fortune teller’s prediction, a dream, and even a three-act play! Since its publication in 1947, Exercices de style has been translated into more than 35 languages and adapted into myriad theatrical productions.

How many ways can Théâtre du Rêve tell this story? Start counting!
