Carolyn Cook (Producing Artistic Director):

Carolyn Cook is the founder and producing artistic director of Théâtre du Rêve. She holds a bachelor of arts in French from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College (now Randolph College), and studied literature and linguistics at the Sorbonne. Since founding Théâtre du Rêve in 1996, Cook has served in multiple capacities, including acting, directing, playwriting, and leading the company as artistic director from 1996 to 2006 and again from 2016 to the present. She has written and produced three plays based in French and Francophone history: “Il Etait Une Fois” tells the story of female writers whose work was banned by Louis XIV; “Code Noir” follows the career of General Alex Dumas, French Revolutionary hero and father of novelist Alexandre Dumas; and “Je ne suis pas Evangeline” explores Le Grand Dérangement, the expulsion and genocide of French Acadians in the 1700s. With more than thirty years’ experience as a professional actor, director, producer, teacher, and coach, Cook has worked extensively in Atlanta theater, including twenty seasons with the former Georgia Shakespeare, and has performed on tour in the US, UK, and France. She has been honored as a Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes académiques, a national order bestowed by the French Republic for service to education.

Jennifer Kimball (Managing Director)

Jennifer has been a proud part of the Théâtre du Rêve family since our first production of Le Ballon Rouge in 2010. She also serves as Managing Director at the Essential Theatre, produces the Stripped Bare Arts Incubator Project at Synchronicity Theatre, and is a Production Associate at TdR’s home venue, 7Stages.

Eliana Marianes (Artistic Associate):

Eliana Marianes has ten years’ experience in administration, marketing, and development with non-profits, and studied French throughout her academic career. She has worked as a staff member or volunteer with Emory University Telefund, the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta, Horizon Theatre, and Out of Hand Theatre.

Eliana works regularly as an actor throughout the Southeast, and teaches Viewpoints at the Robert Mello Studio and elsewhere. She manages the TdR office and assists with development, marketing, and patron relations.

Caitlin Roe (Artistic Associate):

Caitlin Roe has worked with Théâtre du Rêve in several capacities since 2011: intern, Director of Education & Outreach, Interim Managing Director, Executive Director and actor/teaching artist. She holds a B.A. in French from Catawba College in NC, where she also studied theatre and music. In the Atlanta, she has worked behind the scenes with Horizon Theatre, Essential Theatre, Théâtre du Rêve and the Academy Theatre.

Also an actor and teaching artist, she brings workshops and performances to schools (Puppy Love/Fiancés en Herbe, By the Window/Par la Fenêtre, Fables Fantastiques!, Jane, le renard et moi, Le Petit Prince). She has also performed with The Center for Puppetry Arts, Fishworks, and The Academy Theatre, where she is currently serving as Production Manager. Caitlin speaks fluent English and French and is a French-language immersion teacher at Globe Academy.

Park Krausen (Artistic Associate):

Park served as Artistic Director of Théâtre du Rêve for ten years, from 2006 to 2016. During that time, she commissioned and produced Voir un Ami Pleurer from Belgian playwright Olivier Coyette, directed by Valery Warnotte of Paris; a new stage adaptation of the beloved classic,  The Red Balloon, adapted and directed by Park Cofield; Celles d’en Haut/The Women from on High by Quebecois playwright Olivier Kemeid, and numerous other new works.

Park has performed with the Lincoln Center Living Room Series, Hartford Stage Company, The Alliance Theatre, About Face Theatre Company, Chicago Dramatists, Actor’s Express, the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival (3 year company member), Georgia Shakespeare (where she is an associate artist), Theater Emory, Theater in the Square, Out of Hand Theater (Core Company Member), Théâtre du Rêve, Le Conservatoire National Supérieur D’Art Dramatique, and the Wadsworth Athenaeum. Krausen was named Atlanta’s Best Actress 2010 by the Sunday Paper and has received two Suzi Awards (Atlanta’s Tony Awards) for ensemble work, and two Suzi award nominations for best actress.

Keri Atkins (Bookkeeper):

Keri has 20+ years of experience in the accounting field, working with for profit and non-profit companies. She has also worked as the Office Manager/Accountant for Georgia Shakespeare and a staff accountant for Comcast. She received her BBA and MBA in accounting.

She also currently works as the bookkeeper for Essential Theatre and The Children’s Museum of Atlanta.
