TdR prepares for new season and new leadership

En avant! Théâtre du Rêve has begun a national search for our next artistic director, as founder Carolyn Cook prepares to pass the torch to a new leader in June, 2024. Carolyn notified the board in 2022 that she planned to retire from a leadership role at the end of this season, and says she’s looking forward to returning to freelance work as an actor, director, and writer.

“I love this company and will continue to support our mission of bringing French language and Francophone cultures to life on stage,” Carolyn said. “Thanks to our strong board and supporters, we’re on solid ground financially, even after the pandemic. It’s time for new ideas and adventures!”

In her final season as Artistic Director, Théâtre du Rêve will produce a new adaptation of the classic French comedy Le Malade Imaginaire (The Imaginary Invalid) by Molière, as well as public readings of new work by Francophone Caribbean playwrights, in spring 2024 at 7 Stages.
